At Schenevus Central School, we believe strongly in the importance of engaging all segments of the community in a conversation about important school issues. Our Board of Education meetings offer a time for public comments, and the superintendent hosts "Coffee Chats" periodically during the school year. Administrators are available by phone and email to discuss concerns and answer questions.

Reminders about upcoming events are sent via phone, text and email seven days before the event, on weekday evenings. A follow-up text notification is sent three days before the event. Parents of students receiving awards at the monthly Dragon Fest assemblies are notified by phone seven days before the event.  

 

Faculty and staff are expected to return non-emergency phone calls within two school days of receiving a message. Emergency phone calls are returned immediately.  

The Schenevus Central School Facebook page is meant to be a place for dialogue about district- and school-related issues in a relevant, respectful way. The following guidelines support that goal:

 

Be respectful. Attacks or comments aimed at specific people are not permitted and will be deleted immediately from the page.

 

Be polite. Language that is abusive, harassing, explicit, obscene or profane will be deleted immediately.

 

Be relevant. Do not post comments that advertise or promote a product or service. Spam and commercial advertisements will be deleted. Do not post personal issues or concerns; please contact district staff directly.
