School Conducts Emergency Hold-in-Place Drill
Each year, the Schenevus Central School Emergency Management Team, in cooperation with local police, fire department and emergency services, holds several drills as a part of our emergency preparedness efforts. These drills include fire drill evacuations, bus drills, campus evacuation drills, hold-in-place drills, lockout drills, and lockdown drills.
On Wednesday, January 11th, the school conducted a hold-in-place drill. During a hold-in-place students and staff practice clearing the hallways to allow emergency personnel to move through the school unimpeded.
Ensuring children’s safety, health, and happiness is at the core of what we do; we will continue our work diligently. Please don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions.
